President Ezra Taft Benson talked about reading the Book of Mormon often. He stated,

"It is not just that the Book of Mormon teaches us truth, though it indeed does that. It is not just that the Book of Mormon bears testimony of Christ, though it indeed does that, too. But there is something more. There is a power in the book which will begin to flow into your lives the moment you begin a serious study of the book. You will find greater power to resist temptation. You will find the power to avoid deception. You will find the power to stay on the strait and narrow path. The scriptures are called “the words of life” (D&C 84:85), and nowhere is that more true than it is of the Book of Mormon. When you begin to hunger and thirst after those words, you will find life in greater and greater abundance."

With those words in mind, here are 4 schedules to read the Book of Mormon- pick the one that fits your needs! Each one includes a full sized reading chart and one that would fit inside a standard set of scriptures so you can choose what fits your style.

Things to Remember as you read the Book of Mormon

• The first “Mormon” listed in the schedule refers to the Words of Mormon- it just fits in the layout better without the "Words of" this way.
• When it says, 2 Nephi 3:15 to 4:8 that means you read all the way through verse 8. "To" is just shorter than "through" which fits the space better as well.
• Looking for more than just a schedule? I’m using the one from the Red Headed Hostess- Book of Mormon Study Guide right now. At first I felt it was a little too young for me as in I could see myself being in seminary with some of the questions but I found myself answering them differently than I did all those years ago due to where I’m at now (obviously) and am quite enjoying it. I recommend it!
• The new journal editions of the Book of Mormon are fabulous as well- wide margins so you can write so much more!
• Grab some colored marking tools as well and make yourself a chart of what the different colors means for your scriptures.
